I'm not sure what you mean. Application memory usage is based on what IIS consumes for your application. That is not controlled by GearHost. That would be a Microsoft issue however regardless of instance you cannot reduce the size. If your app uses XMB of memory on GearHost it will use that same amount anywhere else. Having your application in 64bit however dramatically increases that since it doesn't the memory footprint of your application out of the box.
