I would like this with the possible critique that instead of doing a copy, allow instantaneous switch overs to allow for red/green deployments. I think the difference is that instead of copying from site1 -> site 2, instead you point a domain at, basically, a load balancer or simplistic router and then you point the balancer/router internally to one *.gear.host domain.
